AIR QUALITY - WHY WE NEED IT - HOW WE DO IT

Philosophy

We at SMART Life have gone the “extra mile”, to partner with the global leader in “Air Quality Level Assessment” ECOWITT, to guide our baseline air quality assessments as per International ASHRAE -62.1 guidelines. From this assessment we would work with Engineers to recommend the CORRECT actions to be taken to give ASSURANCE that the air quality meets international standard: -

 

  • AC performance (maintenance) is correct!

  • AC Conformance (correct plumbing and parts) as per OWP Specification!

  • All Ventilation streams are CORRECT and operational!

  • Prevent Condensation (appropriate solutions per apartment)!

  • Identify and prevent DUST particles (based on 2.5-micron)!

 

After Significant TESTING at OWP apartments with parts manufactured exclusively for OWP systems, we have reduced the humidity to IDEAL levels:

 

  1. Relative Humidity 45% for systems with ducting return, and

  2. Relative Humidity 55-60% for systems with Ceiling return.

 

Which eliminates MOLD and Allergens, creating the environment for healthy living (Relative humidity Range of 30% to 60%).

Assessment and Report

Major Aspects of Air Quality Level (AQL) measurement and monitoring for ALL rooms and bathrooms of the apartment (home), simultaneously:

 

  1. Monitor Temperature (Verify Regulation and Control).

  2. Monitor "Relative Humidity" and verify levels as per ASHRAE 62.1 standards. Verify AC and Thermostat performance.

  3. Monitor 2.5 micron particle concentrations as per ASHRAE 62.1 standards. Verify FILTER performance.

 

The assessment can be done both before and after - for VERIFICATION of results! All data is recorded via ONLINE servers are analyzed then reported to you!

62.1-2016

Recommends that relative humidity in occupied spaces be controlled to less than 65% to reduce the likelihood of conditions that can lead to microbial growth.

 

Note, for MOLD to develop, a relative humidity of >80% for a period greater than 30 days is the standard.
